SUPER COOL SPRING MINI SESSIONS!!! ~ Ottawa Photographers

So many of you have been saying over those long winter months “I REALLY need to get my butt in gear and book a session with you Danielle…“. Well my friends, the excuses are over and your chance has come!!! ITS SPRING!! The weather has been beautiful, the birds are singing in the trees, and whether you want to admit it or not, those family pictures you had done at the department store 4 years ago look dusty and horribly outdated! So why not use this opportunity to replace them!?

Some creative ideas on how to make the most of your Spring Mini Session:


~ Treat your teenage daughter or son to a photo shoot that’s all about them! Awesome for self-esteem building or even just because!

~ Surprise the heck out of your wife, husband, fiance or significant other with the long over due portrait session that you’ve been putting off!

~ Give the walls of your home a total face lift and book a session for your family! Kids grow so fast Moms and Dads! Capture it while you can!

~ How about a Mother Daughter session to capture that special relationship?

~ Have a birthday, anniversary or another big milestone coming up? Mark the occasion with custom photos!!

An Old Soul ~ Ottawa Child Photographers

Now, you will know that from my previous work, I do not process many of my photos in black and white. Its not that I don’t like black and white – on the contrary actually, I DO!! Its just that for me, the photo REALLY needs to ’speak’ to me. It really needs to LOOK like it should be in black and white. And for whatever reason, maybe its the over all style of my images, I really don’t find that I do it often.

ANYWAY, all of that changed when I got home from this session with Eden yesterday. Its the first time in maybe….EVER, that I actually thought the majority of the photos suited black and white!! And I was THRILLED!

Eden is a girl who is totally mature and wise beyond her years and I somewhere in her there is this old soul. It really just radiates from her in these images I think. Maybe that’s the reason that I felt most of these looked so perfect in black and white? YOU tell ME I guess!

NEW website! ~ Ottawa Photographer

I’ve been debating about changing my website for some time now. I’ve felt that it was not only time for an update, but that my previous one really wasn’t reflecting my style as much as I’d wanted it to. So…I’m VERY excited to announce the brand new Danielle Lynn Photography website!! Check it out!

Oh, and since I can’t bring myself post without a picture, here’s my daughter Zia….hugging a tree. She’s clearly the outdoorsy one of the family. LOL!

Princess Mia take TWO! ~ Ottawa Family and Baby Photographer

This past weekend I went back to shoot the second half of the session with Princess Mia and her family…and I think it was worth the wait! Here’s part one if you missed it. Big brother Zachary was in a bit better spirits (although didn’t entertain me for long!) and sweet Mia was a bit sleepier too which made it easier to get a bunch more with her and her Mommy and Daddy!

Sweet Mia ~ Ottawa / Gatineau Newborn Photographer

THIS my friends, was the cutest, sweetest little girl!! Seriously! Have you ever seen more beautiful eyes?! And those teeny tiny little LIPS! They had me swooning for the entire session! Well technically, I should say, this is part ONE of the session. We wanted to do some more family shots but big brother Zachary had missed his nap and due to the time change, was a little out of sorts. So hopefully next weekend I’ll be able to post some images of part TWO as we try again when the little man is a little more rested!
