Beautiful Haylee! ~ Ottawa Child and Family Photographers

And what a beautiful little thing 9 month old Haylee is!! Oh my goodness, the chubby cheeks and that smiley little face! SO adorable! And the best part – it didn’t take much to get a smile out of her! Easy peasy! Well…except for the odd cry. But really, can you blame her? Its tough work being this cute.

Ottawa African Festival! ~ Ottawa Photographer
With having adopted children of African descent, our family is always on the lookout for cool things happening in and around Ottawa that allow us to celebrate the different cultures, sights, sounds and smells of Africa. Of course, we like to participate in any kind of festival, but we feel personally connected to Africa so when I heard that there was going to be an entire festival, in our own back yard, we grabbed the kids, I grabbed the camera and headed out the door!
We didn’t stay for the the entire festival. We had hoped to, but with a 3 and 5 year old, their attention spans were limited and the heat was making them cranky. We did, however, catch an AMAZING performance by the Burundi Drummers of Burundi, East Africa and WOW…I mean, WOW were they amazing!! I could have watched them dance and drum all day!! The way they moved, the beautiful music they were creating was so awesome. Needless to day, my attention, and my camera, stayed focused on them for a while!
Can’t wait to hit up the Ottawa African Festival next year. This festival is still in its infancy so I imagine it can only get better from here!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – I have the most gorgeous clients!! Seriously! And they were such troopers! Despite the chilly wind in the air, they put up with me long enough to get a few good pictures.

SUPER COOL SPRING MINI SESSIONS!!! ~ Ottawa Photographers
So many of you have been saying over those long winter months “I REALLY need to get my butt in gear and book a session with you Danielle…“. Well my friends, the excuses are over and your chance has come!!! ITS SPRING!! The weather has been beautiful, the birds are singing in the trees, and whether you want to admit it or not, those family pictures you had done at the department store 4 years ago look dusty and horribly outdated! So why not use this opportunity to replace them!?

~ Have a birthday, anniversary or another big milestone coming up? Mark the occasion with custom photos!!
