EXCLUSIVE: The Gift of You Sessions! ~ Ottawa Photographer
While going through the long and emotional process to bring our daughter home from Ethiopia in 2007/2008 there was one poem that really touched me whenever I heard it. Its such a short, simple poem but to me it described perfectly what an adoptive parent feels about their child:
The Gift of You
I didn’t give you the gift of life,
But in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real,
As if it had been so.
For us to have each other

Now, to those who know me, know that its absolutely no secret how proud and emotional I am over my own children’s adoptions, as well as those of friends and acquaintances who are/were in the process. This is a community of people who I feel very connected with as we have all shared the same joys and tears. I know first hand the emotional, physical and financial stress that an adoption can bring to a family. Thankfully, I also know the joys and excitement that ultimately follow… 
With great excitement, I am thrilled to introduce an exclusive program:
Over the next several weeks/months I will be connecting with several local Ottawa Social Workers and Adoption Agencies to ensure that they know how this program works and to pass the info along to their adoptive families, however, feel free to share this information with any family that you think may be interested in this amazing program!
I am sincerely looking forward to meeting new adoptive families in our community!! All the best in your amazing journeys!

DETAILS: ~ You must be home with your child for no more than one (1) year to take advantage of this offer. ~ You may only take advantage of this exclusive offer once (1).
~ Rates include up to five (5) family members. And additional family members may participate at $25 per person. ~ Session will take place within the Ottawa/Gatineau area. Additional travel fees may be required if session is outside of this area.

Firstly, thank you SO much to everyone who contacted me about, or helped spread the word on finding a model for my casting call that I had posted last week!! I SO appreciate it!! I was contacted by a very nice lady who’s beautiful daughter Gracie will be my model for this session and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m just deciding on a few small details and then we’ll hopefully be getting the session underway in the next week or two! So keep checking back!
Completely random, but I’m so excited about these that I had to share! Over the weekend I went prop shopping in the Smiths Falls area to stock up on some fresh props for Gracie’s styled session…and look at the gems I found!!! You should have seen my face when I saw them just sitting there outside of the antique shop! Anything with peeling/cracking paint seriously gets my heart racing! LOL! And the best part – I paid $15 for all of it! If any of you know of any awesome antique shops in the Ottawa area, please let me know. I am always looking for something new…and always looking for a good deal!

I’ve been debating about changing my website for some time now. I’ve felt that it was not only time for an update, but that my previous one really wasn’t reflecting my style as much as I’d wanted it to. So…I’m VERY excited to announce the brand new Danielle Lynn Photography website!! Check it out!
Oh, and since I can’t bring myself post without a picture, here’s my daughter Zia….hugging a tree. She’s clearly the outdoorsy one of the family. LOL!
