Eek…has it really been that long since I’ve blogged?! Well…if it’s any consolation, I’ve had an excuse. Not only have I been busy with sessions but I’ve also been away visiting family. Yes, I took a MUCH needed 4 day vacation to visit my Mom, Grandmother and Siblings. It was a lovely little break if I do say so.

Upon my return I had the pleasure of photographing the very fun and sweet Padgett family. Right away, the first thing I loved that we had in common was that they are from my home town of Lindsay, Ontario. I was thrilled to hear this since I rarely meet anyone from there! This of course gave us lots to chat about during our session. At the moment, these guys are all living quite a distance from each other so I was very excited that they decided to come together for this session when they did. Often times, I think families forget that memories don’t stop being important once your children are in high school, are off to college – or even adults. But it really is important. In this fast paced world where everything is so disposable and easily forgotten, it’s so wonderful to see families taking the time to create these memories with each other. Photos like this truly are heirlooms that I hope future generations will enjoy.
