Ottawa Childrens Photographer ~ Splash!

What a yucky weekend we had here in Ottawa!! Its the first weekend that we’ve had in a long time where I had some free time and the hubby had some free time and I was dying to get out and shoot. When I checked the weather for the weekend though, I was SO disappointed to read that they were calling for rain…ALL weekend! BUT, being the die hard photographer that I am, I decided to take my babe out today for some splashing and figured I’d try to capture some of it! May as well make the most of the rain, right?!

I’ve been thinking a lot too about how I am rarely capturing my OWN kids in some of their natural moments these days. Between the busyness of work life and family life, its so easy to forget my own family! So I’m really happy that I got out to take these of my daughter this weekend. She’s not normally the “Get Dirty” kind of girl, but she did enjoy this for a few moments. ;-)

Such fun shots, love ‘em! Even though photographing my own children proves to be such a challenge (my son is 13 and despises being in front of the camera- lol), I make an effort to capture them “just being” at least once a week. :)
