If there’s one thing I can count on being an Ottawa Family Photographer, it’s the fact that each family I work with is unique. It’s this unique combination of personalities that makes it so much fun for me because you never really know which direction things will go!
Sometimes it’s the kids who lead and I just follow and document. Sometimes it’s the parents who seem to have a clear idea of what they want to get out of the session so it’s mostly parent-driven. But in some instances – my very favorite instances – things are balanced out really well. That was definitely the case with this lovely family. Michelle and Suzanne were so fun, easy-going and just as playful with each other as they were with the kids. The kids behaved exactly as a 5 and 7 year old would and neither had any issue whatsoever with picking up a snowball and unexpectedly launching it directly at one of their parents. These interactions made for an incredibly fun time and it also assured that the smiles in these photos were 100% genuine. So many laughs were had and truly, it makes my heart happy to be in the presence of so much love!
